Human Impacts

In the Human Impacts program (formerly called “Energy and Natural Resources”), students will take an in-depth look at how we impact our environment through our waste – how is it generated, what problems it creates, and most importantly what we can do to make a positive change for the future. NGSS Program.

Available options: In-Person, Synchronous, Asynchronous.

In-Person

Total time for each classroom: 90 minutes

Synchronous

These live, interactive programs help students review how and what trash is generated in their own homes to explore the concepts of sustainability, conservation, etc.

Total time for each synchronous lesson: 30 minutes

Asynchronous

These activity packets are designed for students to easily do at home with some adult supervision, using tools and items which can be found around the house to explore how we generate, use (and maybe even re-use) trash in their own homes. See Asynchronous Programs for more details.

NEW NGSS Marine Ecology*

(In-Person Only) In the new Marine Ecology program, students will explore the interdependence of different organisms living in the Marine environment, how they adapt to the stresses in a tidepool environment, and will have the opportunity to create their own Marine Organisms.
