Nature Walks for Groups
Our Nature Walk programs are intended for ages 6 and up, and can generally serve between 8-24 participants. If you expect more than 24 participants, we can discuss alternatives to our standard Nature Walks. Please email the Community Programs Coordinator or call 650-493-8000 ext 9 to inquire about options or to schedule your Nature Walk!
Each walk lasts between 90-minutes to 2 hours, depending on weather, time of year and age of participants. If you prefer one length of time over another, please let us know.
Cost for each Walk: $20/participant, with a 10% discount available for groups of more than 20 participants. Fee reductions are also available for organizations with constrained budgets, especially those working with underserved communities.
Locations: Nature Walk programs are currently available at the Palo Alto Baylands (starting near the Palo Alto Duck Pond on Embarcadero Rd) or Palo Alto Foothills Nature Preserve (starting either near Boronda Lake or the Orchard Glen Parking). If you’re interested in other locations, please ask and we’ll be happy to discuss options.
Payment is due at least 2-weeks in advance in order to hold your scheduled date. Walks are weather-dependent.
IMPORTANT: Requests for group activities, including Nature Walks, should be submitted 4-6 weeks in advance. We’re unable to schedule programs less than 4 weeks in advance at this time.
Please note that we are a volunteer-run organization. As such, we may not be able to confirm availability at the time of booking, but will do so at least 2 weeks prior to your requested day.
