Virtual Resources Available for Schools

Environmental Volunteers is committed to supporting schools, classes and students with quality environmental education experiences, even when normal life is disrupted, or in-person instruction isn’t possible. Using the curriculum originally developed during the Covid-19 school shut downs, and adapted for more recent needs, we have several educational options available for virtual learning:

  • Asynchronous online lessons and activities that can be done at home, with families, or as a class as time/resources allow. Including our Sprout Up Explores! lesson series, with worksheets and guided activities. These lessons and activities are free and available at any time for grades K-5.
  • A limited number of programs slots are also available for our live Virtual Nature Scientists lessons, guided by our EV docents. One topic is available for each grade. Free for Title 1 schools, but negotiable for others if need exists. Please ask!

Our thoughts go out to all of those impacted by the historic wildfires in the Los Angeles area (and beyond). We hope for a quick return to safety, and hope these virtual educational lessons can make a small difference in helping students return to a sense of normalcy.
